Coldplay finshed out Glastonbury last night and paid a emotional tribute to band ‘Viola Beach’ by letting them headline the festival. Chris Martin said that the young band, who were tragically killed earlier this year, reminded him a lot of Coldplay in their early days and wanted to create an alternative reality by letting them headline the biggest gig of their careers. They went on to their play their song ‘Boys That Sing’ with footage of the lads behind them and Chris Martin encouraged everyone to send the song up the charts today which was a lovely way to honour Viola Beach. Also, on a side note....Coldplay need to come to Ireland again!
Speaking of Glastonbury, there was a lot of talk about Ian's favourite band ELO….who played yesterday afternoon. But, whilst lots of people enjoyed the performance, everyone was talking about the lead singer Jeff Lynne’s face. No one could believe how well he looked! Well, actually how he looked exactly the same as he did four decades ago in the 70s. And it’s true! He’s still rocking the same shades and the big mop of brown curls. But I wonder what he’d look like if he took off the shades because, the eyes….they always tell the tale.
Top Gear presenter Matt Le Blanc is reportedly in a relationship with one of the show’s executive producers Aurora Mulligan. They were spotted out and about this weekend at the races and looked ‘besotted’. Oooooh! Apparently, their working relationship has developed into a romance over the past few weeks and onlookers said they were tactile which is code for ‘they were all over each other!!’. Viewers of the show might recognise Aurora because she played as bride in one of the shows biggest stunts – in which Matt Le Blanc and Chris Evans crashed a wedding!
Kanye West has done it again! The controversial rapper released the brand new video for his latest single ‘Famous’ on Saturday and it caused a bit of a stir. Taylor Swift is apparently LIVID! So, the video features several celebrity lookalikes - Kim Kardashian, Caitlyn Jenner, Rihanna, Donald Trump and Taylor Swift all feature but the only thing is…they are in the nip! Apparently, Taylor Swift is RAGING about it. She feels bewildered, betrayed and beyond frustrated about the stunt. Herself and Kanye have always had their hassle but this is the ultimate dig!
