Irish lads get a bit of a hard time when it comes to romance but Patrick Kielty has shown that they are capable of more than petrol station flowers and a box of Milk Tray. When he was asked how he wooed his wife Cat Deeley, he replied
‘Cat was in LA and I was in Northern Ireland, so I texted her to wish her a happy birthday. When she said she was having a birthday lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel, I said I’d be there. She told me to go to sleep as I was drunk. That was 2am. I got up at 5am, went to Belfast airport for 6am, got the 7.15am flight to Heathrow, landed at 8.30am, took off again at 9.40am and arrived in LA at 1.15pm. 'I was at the Beverly Hills Hotel by 2.15pm. When I walked in, Cat looked at me and said: “Oh, you’re good!'
Patrick, that’s not just good, that’s GREAT.
And that’s not the only thing that was melting our cold hard hearts this morning. Graphic designer Nick Reeve decided to have his wedding suit with the text of all the messages he and his future wife had sent each other while they were dating. What do you reckon? We wonder was there any 'I'M FINE' messages in there?!
Liam in Mayo wasn’t impressed…
‘I'm all for a bunch of flowers and the odd box of roses, but that soppy gobsh*te who got all the texts in his wedding suit needs the hairy side of the hand’
