Well, that’s a wrap on the twentieth Topflight Today FM Ski Trip.

And what a week it was! From the brilliant ‘Reeling In The Ski Years’ on Monday night with Mickey Joe Harte and Pat Shortt to The Academic rocking our socks off in The Festalm on Wednesday night, The Poc Fada and everything in between, it has been absolutely brilliant!

The 700 strong crowd must be commended for their dedication and stamina, to keep smiling and laughing after 7 long days skiing and 7 hard nights socialising.

Iano brought the week to the close today with a brilliant live show from the town hall in Bad Hofgastein and we were joined by The Academic who performed their brilliant hits ‘Different’ and ‘Bear Claws’ and the always energetic Mario Rosenstock who had the crowd in stiches with Gift Grub. The crowd must have taken it relatively easy last night because they arrived down at 7am, this morning in their droves, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Either that or they came straight from Salut Bar! We heard about Brendan from Waterford who somehow managed to match with himself on a dating app, Caroline from Cork who could recite the alphabet backwards and Jenny from Meath who worked on the flowers for Michael Flatley’s wedding.

The 2019 Topflight Ski Trip was filled with laughter, messing, wiener schnitzel and eh, Jagermeister. Here’s to 2020……
