The nominees for the British Independent Film Awards have been released, and we weren't one bit surprised to see the incredible Barry Keoghan on the list.
Keoghan has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role (he plays Spencer) in American Animals - the unbelievable but true story of four young, clever, well-off college students who brazenly attempt to execute one of the most audacious art heists in US history.
His co-star Evan Peters was nominated for the same award. The British film, which was produced by Film4, earned 11 nominations in total - including Best British Independent Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay. It also has has a ratings of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, so defo worth checking out.
And we also want to give a big shout out to Corkonian Chris Walley (who plays Jock Murphy in The Young Offenders) who has been nominated for the BAFTA Breakthrough Brit Awards. They've marked him as one to watch. Sure we've known that for aaaaaaaaaages lads. Chris' obviously delighted with the news...
