X Factor is losing its distinctive sound after the man behind the show's voice-overs, Peter Dickson, announced he was leaving. He revealed the news himself on Twitter, saying it was time to "check out and cut loose" after the "best 11 years". Dickson has provided the booming announcements on The X Factor since it began in 2004.
