Avril Lavigne is best remembered from her tracks Sk8er Boi, Complicated and Girlfriend, but now she's back with a brand new song and her first new album in five years following a battle with Lyme disease.
The 34-year-old took some time away from the spotlight to battle the fatiguing illness.
The Canadian singer released a new song titled 'Head Above Water' back in September of this year, marking her intention to return to the music industry, and last night she delighted fans with this news:
I’m so excited that I can finally share with you, that my new album will be released on February 15, 2019. You can pre-order #HeadAboveWaterâ â here: https://t.co/9Lbq3DKilQ 🖤 pic.twitter.com/nPDbVbHoud

She also released her second song from the album, 'Tell Me It’s Over', which has clocked up over 1 million views on YouTube in its first 12 hours.
Billboard describe it as 'Memphis soul' and a 'Dusty Springfield-like R&B ballad that puts love on the rocks'.
An we're definitely picking up what she's putting down.
