Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, two of the world's biggest pop artists, have had to defend themselves after rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine accused them of cheating to get to #1 on the Billboard chart.
Let me set the scene first: This guy Tekashi has been released from prison early because his asthma makes him vulnerable to the coronavirus, so he is serving out the rest of his sentence at home. The first thing he did was release a song on 8th May – the same day Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande released their charity song Stuck With You, a bit of which we played on the show last week.
Anyway this guy Takeshi is now saying that Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande used 6 credit cards to buy 30000 units. Ariana Grande has responded by saying this is untrue and please note that the rules stipulate that only 4 sales per buyer are counted toward the Billboard calculation and anyone who is displeased with their placement should humble themselves.
Ellie Goulding has defended her 40 hour fasting diet. In the last few days she said that she fasts for 40 hours at a time to aid digestion and she claims that it is safe and beneficial. However, many people have told her that it is unsafe and irresponsible to claim that this has scientific benefits when it sounds unsafe. She has now said that her extreme measures have been given the go-ahead by a doctor-pal. Hmm..
