Kim Kardashian West hopped onto Snapchat to defend her husband Kanye West's honour this morning, posting a series of videos that prove Taylor Swift gave West permission to rap about her on infamous "Famous."

In the footage posted on Snapchat, Kanye asks Taylor for permission to use a version of the line over the phone from his studio. She gives her consent and thanks him for bringing the line to her before recording and releasing it. It's still unclear just how much Swift knew about the ultimate phrasing of the line, but it's obvious she agrees its sentiment is acceptable.

She says “it’s obvious that it’s tongue in cheek, thank you for calling me about this”.

Kanye released "Famous" in February. Taylor released a statement condemning the line and West's misogyny a few days after it was first played in public.

Then when Kim Kardashian appeared in GQ last month, she confirmed that Swift had approved the line and suggested that her conversation with West had been caught on camera, only to get blocked by Swift's legal team once they learned about its existence.

It seems like a stern legal letter from Taylor’s lawyers couldn't keep Kardashian silent forever.

Taylor responded

“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination.

'I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be part of, since 2009.'

RTE are planning to target the Snapchat generation with their new show.

They will go head-to-head with TV3’s entertainment programme Xpose with a half-hour show which will be hosted by some of Ireland’s top “Snapchat stars”.

Apparently Roz Purcell, James Butler and James Kavanagh, who are all avid Snapchat users and who have huge online followings, will feature on the show.

The show expected to be announced as part of RTE2’s autumn schedule.

Dermot O’Leary has revealed that Simon Cowell will axe any X Factor contestants who try to emulate Adele in this year’s auditions. He said it is crazy the amount of female wannabes who show up, croon one of Adele’s many slow and sad hits and hope it will be enough to win them a spot on the ITV show.

It rarely works out for them. #StopButcheringAdele

Nadia Forde’s nan sometimes nicks her knickers! Not to wear them though – she steals them because they’re too revealing and she doesn’t want Nadia to be photographed wearing them.

Nadia goes on to say that she doesn’t mind, because her grandmother is the reason she has a modelling career – she was spotted buying her communion dress, and from that job she was signed to an agency.
