FINALLY.....we now know what to call one of 'those' people who wreck your buzz, seven days a week. I used to call them something a little more explicit, but this is much more versatile.
We were grinning from ear to ear this morning as we welcomed author and illustrator Aoife Dooley back into studio. Aoife was last in with us to chat about her 2016 book (and now bestseller) "How To Be Massive", and we knew it was only a matter of time before she'd be back with something new -"How To Deal With Poxes (On A Daily Basis)".
So what is a "Pox"? Well a pox is that person who shoves wrappers down the side of the couch, or the one who is on a new diet every second week, and what about the customer who runs into the shop at 5:59 when you're closing at 6?? Yip...we all know a pox and meet them every day.
Aoife goes through lots more signs of poxness and confesses to being guilty of committing it herself back in her retail days. Ian then brings up the people who fart in elevators, and they chat about it being wrong on so many levels. And don't get her started on the scourge of the skies...
With comedy being an obvious strength of hers, she has recently started doing some stand up and it has proved to be a fruitful move (after some translations for her American audience).
We love her astute observations, and are sure that you will be eye-balling poxes left, right and centre now, content in the knowledge of what you can officially label them.
