Our own Angela Scanlon is hotly tipped to be announced as one of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing contestants. Mollie King formerly of The Saturdays, comedian Brian Conley and Eastenders hunk Davood Ghadami, who plays Kush, have already been announced. But apparently, the BBC see Angela as a rising star and they feel that they can grow her ‘stock’ even more by putting her on the show. G'wan Scanlon!

The people that brought us Poldark are now at work on a new version of Pride and Prejudice for ITV. Now, I love Pride & Prejudice and for me, the classic is the 1995 Colin Firth version. But, this new series is not going to be the traditional ‘Oooh Mr D’Arcy’ that you might expect. Mammoth Screen want to tap into Pride and Prejudice's "darker tones" and they’ve brought in a new writer who has worked on lots of grittier dramas – they say the aim is to make it “less bonnet-y”. Right....
The U2 museum plans are underway and the band themselves are behind it. The museum will be adjacent to their studio which is in a warehouse on Hanover Quay and it’s where the band have recorded many of their songs of the past 20 years. Apparently, it’ll be four stories of artefacts collected over their 40 year history, like The Claw from the 360 tour, the giant mirrorball lemon from the Popmart tour and lots of various outfits. Sounds great!
