This morning, we had 5 box-sets of Love Hate Season 5 to give away, so we decided to ask the listeners of The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show to tell us what they think will happen in the last episode on Sunday night. Some of the suggestions were hilarious, some were bleak and (almost!) all of them plausible. Okay, some were downright nuts but they made for a giggle. Nidge gets rentokill in to sort the rat problem. Janet leaves the brothel with a glowing reference from Nidge to join the nuns. Patrick takes a week off for Ballinasloe to sell ponies. Terence Big Balls brings the rest of the cast to Lap Land for Christmas to really enjoy the white stuff. Roll on season 6
Siobhan’s gonna take down Nidge but he'll save his own skin & rat out the Spanish drug dealer. Fran’s the man, hope he survives for another series.
Trish gets it from a car bomb and at the graveside Fran puts his arm around Nidge and says, I know how you feel. Run the credits... Brian in Navan
Nidge offers the Detective a job as his driver and Tommy wakes up and beats Nidge around the head with a golf club.

I reckon Fran is going to attack and kill Trish as payback for Linda.
Ian, watch out for Tommy, he's gonna remember everything and he'll be looking for revenge.

I think Fran & Nidge will both survive for series 6 but Elmo will get killed in the crossfire. Cyril
Maura O’Neill - Hate to say it but I think Fran is going to get his revenge via Trish and do to her what Nidge did to his own missus. Patrick also has to have a role to play in final episode - Nidge racing home to save Trish when he hears Fran has found their safe house, only for Patrick to present him with his very own pipe bomb. Anyone would think I was a violent person!!
Alan Hammond - Nidge kills Big Balls, Fran Kills Linda, Janet gets Knee Pads, Elmo goes State Witness and moves to Sesame St, Patrick tells nobody nothing, and starts a FAS backed course teaching youngfellas the fine art of pipe bomb making, and Siobhan changes her name by deed poll to Shoveoff - The End
Colette Daly - I really think Janet is going to lose the rag after all she has done for Nidge - he couldn't even bother to have a word with her son so I think she will shoot Nidge and we will be left hanging till next series. He won't die though. how could he?!
Gary Scully – I’d say they'll all make friends, shake hands and agree crime doesn't pay......only joking! Siobhan has to get whacked!
Lisa Clancy - Aaron, Janet’s son, will be part of the plot which sees Trish getting killed, lead by an unstable Fran, who ends up slaughtered by Elmo in the Joy! Janet will rat Nidge out in order to secure a better sentence for Aaron, while Terence Big Balls cuts Tommy’s life line in order to punish Siobhan for killing poor Paulie! Nidge is left fuming but left alive to suffer his loses Terence can't do away with him just yet Nidge owes him to much!
