Two couples were given the boot before Mexico
EIGHT couples got engaged at the "pod-stage" of Love Is Blind - not just 6, as we've seen.
When it came time for the couples to head to Mexico after getting to know each other in the pods, producers told 2 couples that they didn’t have the resources to continue filming their stories, they say now. One of the couples explained:
“As we were preparing to go to the Mexico trip, the leads of the show came in and said, ‘Hey, we were expecting maybe one or two engagements. We prepared for five. Then we got eight engagements, so we had to pick who we were going to follow.
The other 2 couples got their phones back and were sent on their merry ways.
Neither couple ended up getting married… both have since broken up.
Anne-Marie issued an apology on Twitter after the rising sun symbol was used during a sketch on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. The flag was adopted as the symbol of the Imperial Japanese Navy in 19th century and ITV have also apologised, saying: 'We apologise for any offence caused. This was clearly unintended and we have taken steps to re-edit that part of the episode'
However, in 2013, Japan’s foreign ministry released a statement on the issue, saying the design was “widely used throughout Japan, such as good catch flags used by fishermen, celebratory flags for childbirth and seasonal festivities, and flags of Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force vessels.”
It added: “Claims that the flag is an expression of political assertions or a symbol of militarism are absolutely false.”
