Wow, what a night! Will we ever get over it?! The anticipation, the nerves, the anguish - it was close to unbearable for eighty odd minutes. But once the hero that is Robbie Brady made it official with five minutes to go, the joy, the jubilation and pride conquered all, as people of all ages leapt around the pubs and sitting rooms of the country.

Shauna from the show was watching in her local pub in Rathgar and brought her trusty Today FM mic to capture the special moment if it arose…and as we all know….that special moment did in fact arise. She caught up with some of the crowd afterwards and as you can imagine, the over-riding emotions were delight and disbelief.

This morning, the excitement hadn't waned and Hector spoke to people in all corners of the country who were still riding on the crest of a wave. From a chicken in Tipperary named after Robbie Brady to a man whose Mam used to serve Brady chicken rolls, the stories were flooding in. Check out the picture of Robbie Brady the chicken and Ciaran. The actual cuteness of it all.

Hector also caught up with footballing legend Paul McGrath to see how he was feeling about it all. As you can imagine, he was thrilled with the outcome.

It would have been a shame not to check in with Eamon, although we have a sneaking suspicion he was still in Dicey Reillys celebrating because he was feeling a little 'emotional'. One mention of 'his boy Wes' and he disintegrated like a disprin.

And finally.......GOOSEBUMPS ALERT! Just in case you needed reminding, relive that wonderful goal (with some added commentary gold) here...Go on. And then play 'Put Em Under Pressure' on repeat for the rest of the week.
