You may not know this, but dreamy Daniel is a huge fan of kicking back on front of the box and having a showfest - he's like a walking TV guide! With this in mind, we regularly ask him to come in to studio as a contributor (when he's not gigging basically).
Today he was feeling a bit bemused at the whole #ROT fiasco. He feels the event is gone very bland, with the ladies on show being a bit too "nice" - even for him; he needs some realness, "wouldn't ya love just to see one girl come out and go on about how she got lamped out of her head in Ibiza". Don't get him started on Derek Ryan either #bitter
Another show that caught his eye was Fair City. He made an absolutely hilarious observation from an episode from during the week, where Carol's dad "Trigger" had died, and was placed in a coffin in the scene. As Daniel zoomed his eyes in closer to the corpse, he noticed something miraculous...the body was actually breathing!! He showed us a clip of it in studio and we were in knots, "it was like he was doing vocal exercises in the casket".
It was the prospect of Mrs Brown's Boys (on repeat on RTÉ1), and Fifty Shades of Grey (Rté 2), being on at the same time, that really worked him up though. He's not sure if RTÉ even know what the alluring film is about, but is imagining that flicking between the channels could sound something more like an x-rated, animalistic affair.
