Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is wishing Leroy Sane all the best at Bayern Munich.
The winger is due to move to the Bundesliga champions for a fee of around 60 million Euro after rejecting a new contract at City.
Sane is due to travel to Munich in the coming days for a medical after agreeing a five-year contract with the Bavarians.
Guardiola says he would have loved to have kept the winger, but understands why he wanted to move on.
"There are still some little issues but it looks like he's going to go to Munich," the City boss said of the 24-year-old's imminent departure. "We wish him all the best, big thanks for our years together. We wish him all the best in his new chapter at a fantastic club.
"Is it disappointing? He wants to leave. Everyone has their own life. He deserves to move on.
"I'd love him to stay here but he decided to move on because he believes he will be happier in Munich."
The City boss also confirmed their 10 million Euro capture of former Barcelona underage star Pablo Moreno from Juventus. The deal will also see Portuguese winger Félix Correia move in the opposite direction.
