She's done it!! Republic of Ireland's Stephanie Roche has made the top 3 for FIFA's Goal of the Year.
Stephanie (who currently plays club football in France with ASPTT Albi) could be crowned FIFA’s Goal of the Year after making the final 3 for the prize. Her goal came against Wexford Youths in the Women's National League October 2013 when she was playing for Peamount United.
It had been one of the ten goals nominated for the FIFA Puskás award and now she’s in the top 3 alongside Netherland’s Robin Van Persie’s header goal against Spain at the World Cup and Colombia’s James Rodriguez’ goal against Uruguay at the World Cup.
