The under 20 football championship will take centre stage at Croke Park on St. Patrick's Day instead of the club finals.
The Irish Independent is reporting that either the All-Ireland under 20 final or a semi-final double-header will be played at GAA HQ, depending on the scheduling of the provincial games.
The All-Ireland senior club finals have been played in Croke Park on March 17 since the mid-1980s but they have been moved to January.
The aim is to eventually complete the club finals before Christmas but that could take a few years to be introduced.
Cork beat Dublin in the All Ireland under 20 final in early August but the under-20 championships will be played earlier in 2020.
Central Council are expected to approve the U-20 proposal when they discuss the 2020 fixtures plan at their meeting on Saturday week.
The GAA want to have games in Croke Park on St. Patrick's Day and it's believed some counties were even asked about playing an Allianz League game on March 17 but St. Patrick's Day falls on a Tuesday next year.
