Republic of Ireland under-21 boss Stephen Kenny has added Bohemians winger Danny Grant and Gothenburg forward Aaron Drinan to his squad for the upcoming European Championships qualifier at Iceland next week.
Grant has been called into the group on the back of scoring for Bohemians in last night's 2-1 win over Dundalk in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
Celtic's Jonathan Afolabi has been ruled out of the game in Reykjavik through injury while Troy Parrott is suspended.
Tottenham teenager Parrott was sent-off in the midweek draw against Italy at Tallaght Stadium while Afolabi has been nursing a hamstring injury.
“I thought it was quite harsh really,” Kenny of Parrott's dismissal.
“I wasn’t expecting it. I didn’t get a great view of it, but he didn’t seem to do a lot really. He was trying to take the free kick quickly, just trying to get on the ball.
"Troy’s an attacking player. His attitude is exemplary really. He carries himself brilliantly. I don’t know if he’s ever been sent off. I think it’s quite unfortunate. The double blow is that it rules him out of our game in Iceland on Tuesday, which is a big blow.
"When they sent Moise Kean off, we were in the ascendancy then and we were going to play 11 v 10. I felt that would be a great opportunity for us and I didn’t see it coming that Troy was going to get sent off as well, I must admit. So it ended 10 each and there’s nothing you can do.”
