While devastated about the final result Sean acknowledged the positives, explaining: “our intensity and our effort, I suppose, can’t go unnoticed and it was pleasing that we’re able to play to such a level”.
He spoke about how the team need to believe in themselves more and work on their confidence: “I think we know what’s expected of us when we put on an Irish jersey but I think it’s maybe dealing with how to finish off a team when we get a lead like we did yesterday...we have to learn and move on from that”.
Sean also acknowledged the incredible support of the fans at the Aviva: “it’s a good feeling to have that kind of support behind you”.
