Anthony Cunningham has made three changes to the Roscommon team to face Cork in the final Super 8s game of the year, from the team that lost to Dublin by 14 points two weeks ago in Croke Park.
The Connacht champions are playing for pride in Pairc Úi Rinn in their last Championship game of 2019. Andrew Glennon has been named in the full-forward line to replace Diarmuid Murtagh who had got five points in the previous games against Dublin and Tyrone.
Elsewhere, Tadgh O'Rourke will start after recovering from the illness that sidelined him for the meeting against the Dubs a fortnight ago, with the reigning All-Ireland Champions running out winners by 2-26 to 14 points.
The final change to the Primrose and Blue is Gary Patterson coming into the full-back line in the place of Seán Mullooly.
The Rossies won Connacht in the most impressive of styles with wins in Castlebar and Salthill. In the semi-finals, they came up against James Horan's Mayo - however, the young Roscommon team proved too much for the veteran All-Ireland finalists. They beat their near neighbours and rivals in the rain in Castlebar by 2-12 to 17 points, with the goals coming from Ultan Harney and Cathal Cregg. It ended a 33-year-long wait for a win in Mayo.
In the provincial decider, they trailed by five points at half-time, but a remarkable comeback ensured the J.J. Nestor Cup made it's way back to Roscommon for the first time since 2017. A goal and three points from Diarmuid Murtagh along with five points from Conor Cox helped the Rossies to win their second Connacht title in three years, and the second-in-a-row they won in Galway.
