Roberto Carlos' free kick for Brazil against France was and still is one of the impressive goals you're likely to see on a football pitch.

Carlos was never afraid to put himself forward to take a free kick but usually he didn't score unlike that night in 1997 in Le Tournois which left Fabien Barthez scratching his head:

Naturally kids up and down the country decided to use an exaggerated run up for free kicks to try and emulate Carlos but it wasn't an easy thing to do considering he could barely do it himself.

Most football fans are also aware of Sensible Soccer which was in its day one of the best computer games around. Somebody has decided to recreate the Roberto Carlos goal in the graphics of Sensible Soccer:

It's hard to explain to kids nowadays just how good Sensible Soccer was at the time because they're used to playing FIFA or Pro Evo (that's a debate for another day) but it must have been good if I spent hours playing it even with the players semi fake names.
