David Beckham will be on our televisions this weekend on the Graham Norton Show and one thing he'll reveal is how Alex Ferguson made him shave off his mohawk before the Charity Shield against Chelsea in 2000.
It was only an hour before kick off so for that day in question it could almost count as a pre-game ritual. I'm also sure Beckham had his own razor handy unless he has his own barber like Floyd Mayweather.
Pre-game rituals can play a big part in some dressing rooms and you can also throw in superstitions to the mix as well. I never really had any myself unless you count rubbing deep heat on my dodgy hamstrings (tip for you - wash the deep heat off your hands if you go to the toilet before the game).
For example Gary Lineker never took a shot at goal during his match warm ups because he didn't want to waste a goal. If that didn't work for him in the first half he would change his shirt and if he didn't score for a while he's get his haircut.
France won the World Cup in 1998 and it may not have happened if Laurent Blanc didn't kiss Fabien Barthez's head before kick-off.
