Paul O'Shea reminds me of David Clifford | Sean O'Sullivan

Former Kerry star Sean O'Sullivan thinks Paul O'Shea has the talent to become a key player for the Kingdom's senior team.

The Kilcummin clubman, who is a first cousin of All-Star forward David Clifford, has been training for Peter Keane's panel ahead of the Allianz National Football League.

Four-time All-Ireland winner O'Sullivan has coached O'Shea at underage level and he told OTBAM that the 20-year-old is a huge prospect.

"I had Paul at development squads, I'm actually part of Declan O'Sullivan's under-20 management team this year and Paul is still an under-20.

"We'll be hoping he doesn't play too well with seniors! He's a very good talent, he's very stylish and would remind you very much of David Clifford.

"He's just very comfortable on the ball, an excellent pair hands and can play in a variety of positions. I've seen him operate at midfield, on the 40' and has played for his club on the inside line as a target man."

O'Sullivan was previewing Kerry's season as part of OTBAM's GAA Contenders series and he revealed that O'Shea is already highly rated in the Kingdom.

"He's definitely one for the future and excites down here. I've seen him at county level and he's played at minor and won an All-Ireland and played last year at under-20. Obviously it's a huge step up for him. Will we see him in action in the National League? It remains to be seen.

"He's definitely one that stands out and we'll be looking forward to seeing how he copes with inter-county senior football but he's a good guy with a good attitude. The talent is there, the question now is if he can bring it up through the levels.
