The GAA and GPA in association with Opel are delighted to confirm the 2014 Hurling All-Stars with beaten All-Ireland finalists Tipperary leading the way with seven of the 15 awards.

All-Ireland champions Kilkenny follow with six places on the team and the remaining two spots are awarded to beaten Munster finalists and All-Ireland semi-finalists Limerick.

In all there are eight first time winners and at the opposite end of the spectrum Kilkenny defender JJ Delaney, who is selected at number three, receives his seventh award - his first coming 11 years ago.

Kilkenny's Richie Hogan was named hurler of the year while Tipp's Cathal Barrett picked up the young player award.

Meanwhile Kerry's James O'Donoghue was named the Footballer of the Year and Ryan McHugh of Donegal scooped the young player award.
