Fergus McFadden is one of a host of players hoping to make a mark in the Irish Wolfhounds' international against the English Saxons at Irish Independent Park in Cork. The Leinster winger sees it as a golden opportunity to force his way into Joe Schmidt's plans for the start of the Six Nations Championship.
The Kildare man came off the bench to help Ireland win the tournament in Paris last March, but has only recently return from a lengthy injury lay off. The 28 year old spent 7 weeks on the sidelines with a sprained ankle, then picked up a thumb injury which required surgery.
McFadden has earned 28 caps Senior Caps, but told Ross Lindsay, there is no disappointment in being selected to play in this Wolfhounds selection.
