Danny Mandroiu's second half wonder-strike preserved Bohemians two-year unbeaten record against Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers last night.
Bohs were 2-1 winners at Dalymount Park to further dent the Hoops SSE Airtricity Premier Division title hopes.
Rovers remain five-adrift of leaders Dundalk after using up their game-in-hand.
Mandroiu had put the Gypsies in front from the penalty, having seen his first spot kick of the night saved by Hoops 'keeper Alan Mannus at full stretch.
A smart finish from Dan Carr drew the visitors level before this strike from Mandroiu extended Boh's unbeaten run against their rivals to eight games.
