James Lowe will make his debut for Ireland against Wales in Friday's Autumn Nations Cup game at the Aviva Stadium.
The 28-year-old Leinster winger has been named on the wing by Andy Farrell and is part of a back three that also includes Jacob Stockdale and Hugo Keenan..
Lowe's Leinster team-mate Jamison Gibson-Park will make his first start at scrum-half and links up with captain Johnny Sexton in the half-backs.
The other change in the backline from the loss to France sees Chris Farrell start in the centre.
Robbie Henshaw switches to inside centre with Chris Farrell coming in at 13.
In the pack, Leinster hooker Ronan Kelleher gets the nod over Rob Herring, while Iain Henderson returns to the second row alongisde James Ryan.
Peter O'Mahony and Josh van der Flier come into the back row alongside Caelan Doris, who moves to number 8.
Ulster's Billy Burns is in line to make his debut after being named among the replacements.
