Leinster say they still have no timeline on Johnny Sexton recovery from a knee injury.
The former world player of the year is expected to miss the start of the Six Nations with the issue he picked up against Northampton earlier this month.
"He’s working hard to try and get himself back as quickly as possible, but he won’t be a million miles away (for the Six Nations) hopefully," said head-coach Leo Cullen after their recent win over the Saints at the Aviva Stadium.
"You could see he twisted his knee, and like I said he’s seeing a specialist. He’s under control and on the mend now".
Ross Byrne, who had been recovering from a dead leg, will resume full training with the reigning Pro14 champions this week ahead of their trip to Munster on Saturday.
Flanker Josh van Flier is going through to the return to play protocols after coming off in the second-half of the Blues' win over Ulster at the RDS on Friday night.
Joe Tomane remains sidelined with a hamstring injury and will sit out the game at Thomond Park but second-row Ross Molony has shaken off a foot injury to return to training.
Cullen is also planning for this weekend's trip to Limerick without Rónan Kelleher (hand), Rory O’Loughlin (shoulder), Vakh Abdaladze (back), Jack Conan (foot), Barry Daly (knee) and Dan Leavy (knee).
