Leinster defeat Munster to reach third successive Guinness PRO14 final

Leinster's bid for three Guinness PRO14 titles in-a-row remains intact after Leo Cullen's side defeated their rivals Munster 13-3 to book their place in the decider.

The Blues, who have now beaten in Munster in the last-four of the competition for the last three seasons, led 10-3 at half-time at an empty Aviva Stadium thanks to a 28th-minute try from Ronan Kelleher.

Ireland hooker Kelleher emerged with the ball after the defending champions got a maul after a line-out inside the Munster 22, with Leinster captain Johnny Sexton adding the extras.

The league's top-scorer this campaign, JJ Hanrahan, had kicked Munster in front with a penalty early on with Sexton also kicking a close-range penalty in the closing stages of the first-half.

Hanrahan dragged two kickable penalties wide of the posts in a five-minute spell around the hour with Sexton punishing those misses by slotting a penalty of his own with his last play of the game in the 66th-minute to seal the victory by putting Leinster 10-points ahead.

Munster's wait for a win against Leinster in Dublin now stretches to five-years while the competition holders, who are unbeaten this season, now await the winner of tomorrow's semi-final between Edinburgh and Ulster at Murrayfield.
