Jérôme Garcès has been appointed the referee for Leinster’s European Championship Cup quarter final against Bath at the Aviva Stadium on the 4th April.
The Frenchman took charge of two of the Province’s Pool games. Both were against English opposition but Leinster won neither.
Fans felt Joe Marler was allowed to scrummage illegally during the 24-18 defeat to Harlequins at the Stoop.
They were also unhappy that Garcès only sin binned Ashley Johnson for taking Dave Kearney out of the air seconds into the 20 all draw with Wasps in Coventry.
Garcès sent Jared Payne off for a similar incident just minutes into Ulster’s Heineken Cup quarter final defeat to Saracens last year.
Garcès will also referee Ireland’s final Six Nations match against Scotland at Murrayfield.
