James Collins linked with summer moves away from Luton Town

Republic of Ireland striker James Collins could be set for a move away from Luton Town once his contract expires at the end of the season.

The Daily Mail report that the 30-year old is being linked with Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Bristol City on a free transfer.

Collins has netted 10 times for the Hatters in 42 league games this season.

He started his career with Aston Villa, before spending spells on loan at Darlington and Burton Albion.

A move to Shrewsbury followed for Collins, who then played for Swindon Town, Hibernian, Northampton and Crawley Town before the move was made to Kenilworth Road four years ago.

Collins' career took off with Luton, as he aided their promotion to the Championship in 2019 by finishing as League One's top scorer with 25 goals.

Luton finished 12th in the Championship this season.

Collins has made nine appearances for the Republic of Ireland, scoring off the bench in the 3-2 defeat to Serbia in the opening World Cup qualifier in March, before starting the ill-fated match against Luxembourg in Dublin.
