Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny has included Shamrock Rovers midfielder Jack Byrne in his squad for tonight's Euro 2020 play-off semi-final against Slovakia in Bratislava.
Midfielder Josh Cullen, who recently secured a move to Anderlecht and Burnley defender Kevin Long are the two players who miss out on a place on the bench this evening.
"He is different, he has a range of passes, which is very interesting and very effective," Kenny said when calling Byrne up to the squad last week. "He has good vision and is a talented midfielder player.
"Jack has played quite well; did well against AC Milan and he followed that up with two goals at the weekend."

“One thing we want to carry is an attacking threat, that has to be our intent,” Kenny said of tonight's opponents.
“Slovakia are a good, open team. Their games are quite open because they really go at you. But because of the nature of that they give you an opportunity. We’re not setting up to contain and hope we score through a set play or a break.
"We will play our own game. We have good players also and we must not underestimate ourselves.”
Tonight's game is live on Off The Ball, our coverage starts at 7pm with kick-off at 7.45pm.
