The Republic of Ireland squad started their preparations today ahead of Sunday's European Championship Group D qualifier against Poland at the Aviva Stadium.
Stephen Ward is the main injury concern for Martin O'Neill and he was one of three players that sat out training. The Burnley defender has been sidelined for three months and has suffered a recurrence of an ankle injury so he'll be assessed over the coming days.
James McCarthy and Darron Gibson also missed training this morning having both played for Everton yesterday - Gibson complained of a groin injury and McCarthy has played four club games since the 12th of March which also included a trip to Kiev.
Aiden McGeady and Robbie Brady are both expected to fit for the weekend after recovering from injury. The uncapped Harry Arter linked up with the squad this afternoon along with Marc Wilson, David Meyler, Shane Long and Jon Walters who had to wear a protective mask playing for Stoke on Saturday due to a fractured cheek bone. Robbie Keane is due in from America this evening.
How things look in the Group after four games

It's the first of four home qualifiers for the Boys in Green in 2015 with Scotland, Georgia and Germany all due here. Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given has urged the fans to get behind the team this weekend:
