Munster legend Paul O'Connell was caught slightly cold today when told that scrum half Conor Murray is staying with the province.
The Lions number 9 was thought to be a target of a number of big paying French clubs, but he has signed a new 2 year contract with the IRFU.
Murray will miss Munster's upcoming trip to Perpignan with a knee injury. It means Cathal Sheridan and Duncan Williams are facing a massive test this weekend. O’Connell says both players are highly rated by the Munster squad.
When speaking to our reporter Ross Lindsay, O’Connell seemed genuinely surprised about Murray.
