Nick Faldo and Tom Watson will contest their last Open at St Andrews in July.
Three time winner Faldo, has confirmed he will play in the oldest of the Majors for the final time this year.
It will mark the 25th anniversary of his victory at St Andrews.
Watson has won the Claret Jug 5 times and lost a play-off at Turnberry in 2009 at the age of 59.
The 2014 American Ryder Cup captain has received a special exemption from tournament organisers to play this year, on the 40th anniversary of his Open first victory at Carnoustie.
