Eric Donovan has suffered an eighth-round stoppage defeat to Zelfa Barrett in his IBF intercontinental super-featherweight title fight.
Lilywhite Lightning was twice knocked to the canvas in the seventh-round against the Englishman on the "Fight Camp" card at Matchroom Boxing's head-quarters in Essex.
Donovan survived a count in the closing stages of the seventh before the referee waved off the bout with the Kildare man was again knocked down by a left hook in the second minute of the eighth.
"He came back from the depths of that fight," promoter Eddie Hearn said afterwards. "I had Barrett 4-1 down after five rounds.
"Unbelievable finish, one of the KOs of the year."
