Swedish top-flight club AIK have confirmed the signing of former Republic of Ireland under-21 international Zack Elbouzedi.
The 23-year-old Dubliner has been transferred for an undisclosed fee from English League One side Linclon City and joins AIK in the midst of the Allsvenskan season which began in March.
Elbouzedi spent his youth career at West Bromwich Albion after moving to the UK from Malahide United and had spells at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Elgin City before moving back to Ireland and spending a season at Waterford.
A superb season in the Premier Division with the Blues got him the move to Lincoln and he is now hoping to impress with his new club in Scandanavia.
"I am delighted to sign for the biggest club in Sweden," said Elbouzedi after the deal was done.
"I can not wait to get going now, get into training with the lads and play in front of the supporters at the stadium. I want to thank the club for the opportunity and I look forward to helping the team on the pitch to get positive results."
AIK are currently fifth place in the Allsvenskan table after 10 matches but are just six points behind table-toppers Malmo.
The club's sporting director for the men's team, Henrik Jurelius, feels he will slot into the team with ease.
"It feels good to have Zack here," said Jurelius "He has qualities that we have been looking for and will fit well into our style of play. We all look forward to working with him."
