Matt Doherty and Enda Stevens will both miss the Republic of Ireland's international friendly with Qatar on Tuesday.
The rest of the squad travelled to Hungary on Sunday night for the game against the World Cup hosts in Debrecen.
Doherty came off injured at half-time in the 1-0 defeat to Luxembourg in the World Cup qualifiers on Saturday, while Stevens was assessed after the match and it was decided he would not travel.
Both players started as wing-backs at the Aviva Stadium so that could mean Stephen Kenny reverts back to a four-man defence.
Kenny will be hoping to get a first win as Ireland boss at the 11th attempt but Qatar come into the game off the back of wins over Azerbaijan and Luxembourg.
The World Cup hosts were added to Ireland’s qualifying group to play a series of friendly matches against the five teams in Group A.
