Over 7000 entries were received in 15 days, and with so many opinions, perhaps it's not surprising that Francis O'Brien from Wexford was the only person to match the selection of the judging panel, which included Joe Canning, Anthony Daly and John Allen.
Goalkeeper on the team was Tipperary's Brendan Cummins, with left half forward the legendary DJ Carey of Kilkenny.
Before a ceremony at the Market Hotel in Dublin last Friday, we caught up with Brendan and DJ to reflect on the drawn All Ireland senior hurling final between the Premier County and the Cats, talk penalties, and look ahead to the replay on September 27th.
