Marco Silva's charges are currently second in the table, with Swansea in 17th.
βI am buzzing that it is done and I am really happy to be here," Christie told Swansea's official website.Β
βI am looking forward to playing some football again, I spoke to the manager (Russell Martin) and straight away he almost made my mind up for me."
Christie's move to the Welsh club comes following the departure of left-back Ethan Laird.
He was recalled by parent club Manchester United before joining Bournemouth.
That could offer Christie - who has made 29 appearances for Ireland - an opportunity for more regular football.
He hasn't made a single league appearance for Fulham since August 2020, though he played 44 times for Forest last season.
βIt has been a tough time recently where I have not been able to show my full ability," Christie continued.
βThe opportunity has been hard to come by, so I want to come here and show that quality and prove it.
βI want to help the lads push up the league and this is a league where anything can happen, especially with those games in hand.β
He will join fellow Republic of Ireland players Ryan Manning and Michael Obafemi in the Swansea squad.
