Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has tested positive for coronavirus, the Premier League club has confirmed.
The City midfielder will now observe a 10-day period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine.
A statement from City read: "Manchester City FC can confirm that Ilkay Gundogan has tested positive for COVID-19.
"Ilkay is now observing a 10-day period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine.
"Everyone at the Club wishes Ilkay a speedy recovery."
The Germany international is ruled out of Monday night's Premier League trip to Wolves and the 29-year-old is also set to miss Thursday's Carabao Cup third-round tie with Bournemouth as well as Sunday's league game against Leicester City.
Gundogan was likely to feature at Molineux given he made 49 appearances in all competitions last season.
Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte both tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month but both players have already returned to training.
