Chelsea will be expected to get back to winning ways when they host bottom side Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea have dropped out of the top four following back to back league defeats at the hands of Arsenal and more recently Bournemouth. Wednesday night's 4-0 defeat was Chelsea's worst league defeat since September 1996. Maurizio Sarri kept his players in the changing room for almost an hour following the second half horror show at the Vitality Stadium. The Italian continues to question the motivation of his players to adapt to the system he wants to play and given what has happened to previous Chelsea managers, are we heading towards another managerial change at the club.
Chelsea started the season with a 3-0 win away to Huddersfield and were unbeaten until the end of November but since then Chelsea have been too inconsistent and shy of goals. The Blues have scored 13 goals in their last 13 league matches after netting 27 goals in their first 11 top flight fixtures. Gonzalo Higuain has been brought in to try and fix the problem and to free up Eden Hazard in his more favoured position on the left side. Huddersfield are rock bottom with 11 points from 24 games so this looks like the perfect game for Chelsea to bounce back but anything other than a win will only add to the frustration of the Chelsea supporters.
