There is no doubt over Jamie Carragher’s position on the Liverpool-Suarez drama. The former Liverpool defender told Ray this morning that there were, “too many players now thinking that they can just up and leave whenever it suits them”.
He defended club coach Brendan Rodgers and said that the club had been strong in their actions.
Speaking about the increase in foreign players in the Premier League, Jamie admitted that it meant that local talent wasn’t coming through and that it had a knock on effect on the national team: “We’re not the forces we used to be ten fifteen years ago”.
Carragher takes on a new role shortly - he’s becoming a soccer pundit with Sky Sports this season. He believes that Liverpool has a great chance of getting back into the top four under Brendan Rodgers.
