Are you all set for Punchestown?

It's unclear whether it's the time of year, the venue or the quality of racing but no-one can quite put their finger on why the Punchestown Racing festival is so enjoyable. It seems to appeal to a cross section of punters from the lads who burn the midnight oil studying the form to the fashion trendsetters. There are stellar racing names of the 4 legged and 2 legged kind and even when the place is thronged there is plenty space for everyone. The organisers have also been very smart and agile in coping with Ireland's economic collapse. Even moving the card into later in the afternoon was a master stroke as punters don't have to take a full day off work to attend. Something that wasn't a concern when property prices were at their peak. Willie Mullins is preparing for an assault on the festival that will resemble the charge of the light brigade. Nonetheless there are others hoping for their own personal successes as you'll see here.
