Tonight is a BIG night for Kilkenny and Ireland!
Ross Stewart and his co-director Tom Moore from Cartoon Saloon based in The Marble County are nominated at The Golden Globes for 'best motion picture - animated' for their outstanding feature Wolfwalkers.
Earlier in his career, Ross worked on Oscar-nominated movies - The Secret Of Kells and Song of the Sea and ParaNorman so they have a history of excellence.
Tonight they celebrate at a virtual Golden Globes ceremony and he told Alison on Weekend Breakfast:
We will have virtual champagne with everyone at Cartoon Saloon for our nomination. Normally we would be getting all dolled up to attend the ceremony but it's going to be very different this year. I might wear a half-tux from the waist up or thrown on a pair of slippers!
The very best of luck to all at Cartoon Saloon!
The movie is available now on Apple TV now and it will be back in cinemas once they are open again and people can experience it on the big screen.
The awesome twosome Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be presenting The Golden Globes from 1am Irish time. If you missed our chat with Amy on Weekend Breakfast you can listen to it here
