Weekend Breakfast with Alison Curtis is on the hunt for Ireland's Soundest Town, with thanks to our generous friends at Cadbury.
Each month we will ask people around Ireland to tell us a little bit about why their hometown is the Soundest Town in Ireland.
And this month we are delighted to announce the May winner of Soundtown is Ballina in Mayo!

Nominated by David O'Malley, Ballina thrives in banter and belying their underdog status.
The diversity is encapsulated in their Ballina Community Clean Up group who are enhancing the local area in lockdown - all from a safe distance!
They also launched Beelieve in Ballina 🐝 - A campaign that has captured public imagination with walkways, wildflower routes and river havens to even include recycled bicycles, ornaments and the Twin Bees Hotel!
Every month one town will be chosen as that month’s Sound Town winner. They will be rewarded with a special plaque and a massive hamper of Cadbury goodies with each monthly finalist going on to win a chance of scooping a whopping €10,000 to spend on a community project of their choice.
