Mystery Hen Party
This week on Weekend Breakfast, Alison spoke to listener Lorraine Meaney, who was getting ready for her mystery hen day. She joined Alison to tell her all about how her bestie Pat organised a hen party to remember.
Here's how to plan a Hen-Stravaganza!
Lorraine's best friend Pat Byrne got married a few years ago but unfortunately Lorraine missed out on his stag because it's traditionally guys only! But then again according to Lorraine, Pat would have felt right out of place at her recent hen party.
So to make up for her absence at the stag, Lorraine brought Pat on an adventure day nicknamed his "Ex-stag-aganza", and this weekend is his chance to return the gesture.
Pat planned to give Lorraine a day to remember. This wasn't going to be one of those hen parties where it would be spent on a farm milking cows or sweeping out stables!!! No, no. They wouldn't even be partaking in some naked life drawing either! Pat is a married man, and the last thing he wants is some dirty doodling! His plan was to do something completely different to anything Lorraine would expect.
Here's what he had up his sleeve...
Pat's plan of action
5 weeks before Lorraine she says “I do!” to her fiancé Owen, here's the day Pat planned for his pal:
The day started off with a vintage bus tea tour in Dublin City Centre. After which it was food at TOKEN in Smithfield, which Lorraine calls, “outrageously delicious”.
Pat kept the party going with an arranged cocktail making class in the Jameson distillery, and then finished up with a visit to Pantibar.
Well played Pat! He is now an unofficial hen party organiser!
