'DJ Killa' in da house yo!!
Fresh from his debut DJ set in Dublin's District 8/Tivoli Theatre last week, the former Ireland left-winger has now produced an absolute banger.
A couple of months back, Kev teamed up with AIB's 'Backing Doing' campaign where they wanted to give him the chance to do something he has always dreamed of but never got around to.
Kilbane's secret desire was to get on the decks and express himself through the medium of dance music. So AIB made it happen.
Speaking on Dermot and Dave, the offtheball.com broadcaster says, "the last 6 months have been a bit of a whirlwind". And that's putting it mildly.
Imagine one minute you're a total novice - not a clue how to use the decks, and they next (after a few weeks of training with Groove Armada), they drop the bombshell that you're going to be their support act at a live gig in front of a thousand people?? Kev was in shock, "I thought I was doing a little small gig and away you go. A bit of a laugh with it".
To help him on his quest, Dermot and Dave welcomed their own Kevin Kilbane and the one and only Club Classics remix master, Tony Cascarino.
"If in doubt twiddle your knob". That's some solid advice right there!
'Kevin Kilbane's Ice Cream Van' gets supercharged. And it's sick!
The lads also take a look at Mick McCarthy's appointment, and Kev tells us why, "now we've a rejuvenated optimism".
