The Dáil will next week debate a bill which aims to improve workers' rights in liquidation situations.
The bill, which has become known as the Debenhams Bill, aims to address a situation where workers in companies which go into liquidation rarely receive redundancy payments or any compensation from their employer.
It was proposed by Mick Barry, Solidarity TD for Cork North-Central, after a year-long battle by Debenhams workers in Ireland to receive redundancy payments when the company went into liquidation.
Mick Barry joined us to discuss the bill further.
