The government is considering whether to extend the interval between the first and second dose of COVID-19 vaccines from four weeks to eight or 12 weeks.
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said he expects a recommendation on the issue in the coming days.
Meanwhile the Minister has abandoned his proposal to investigate whether under-30s should be vaccinated ahead of older age groups.
He said the Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn told him the transmission data did not support changing the age-based priority approach currently being used.
